The Recycling Committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month at the DPW at 5:00PM September through June.

Description of Events

Mass Recycles Day

• Choose Date/Time/event type (Buy Recycled, Compost etc.)
• Reserve space at Library
• Gather supplies needed
• Assign hours to volunteers

Earth Day

            Flyer

• Obtain dates for HHW collection day and Rabies Clinic and any other community happening.
• Design flyer, bring to printer.
• Distribute (mail and at public locations)

            Litter Patrol

• Set date
• Theme
• Solicit donations (water coffee, snacks, bags, gloves) or purchase.
• Develop list of streets/areas for pick-up.
• Determine neighborhood captains.

            Poster Contest (when applicable)

• Theme
• Deadline
• Produce & distribute flyers (schools, library etc.)
• Pick-up posters from schools
• Choose winners
• Notify winners.  Set date for BOS presentation.
• Get info for savings bonds and send in.

            T-Shirts          

• Color
• Quantity
• Design to printer
• Pick-up shirts from printer

Newsletter

• Determine frequency/deadlines
• Obtain info for articles
• Design/paste-up flyer
• Print & Distribute
